Start-ups down - but up
The number of new business start-ups created in Yorkshire during October 2009 dipped, yet are still up from 2008, according to new figures released by business-to-business data and marketing company infoUK.
According to infoUK, October recorded the lowest number of new start-ups created so far during 2009, 19.2 per cent down on September 2009.
General manager of infoUK Richard Lloyd said: "The figures do actually mask a more positive picture. So far this year, 16,650 new start-ups have been created in Yorkshire - an increase of 1.6 per cent compared to the same time last year."
