Social Media - Vital Statistics Research by Nielsen
Online for the year to September reveals that Britons spent 11.1bn minutes on the top 75 social media sites. Facebook accounts for 75.4% of time spent on social networks and also has the largest audience of any of the top sites. Competing sites such as Bebo and MySpace continue to lose out to Facebook's popularity. However the site experiencing the largest growth was Twitter, whose audience grew 1,959% in the last year.
